Blood Glucose Curve (mg/dl)
Ideal blood glucose curve in a treated diabetic cat. Insulin was administered at 8am.
- Normal blood glucose in non-diabetic cats ranges from 46.8 - 151.3 mg/dl.
- The renal threshold is 252mg/dl.
- The goal is produce a blood glucose curve that approaches the reference range but avoids potentially fatal hypoglycaemia, for example 90 - 252 mg/dl for most of each 24 hour period.
